William's daughter Nancy and her husband Elijah Hurd had thier own household and remained in IA. William's daughter Margaret and her husband Joseph Free had thier own household and remained in IA. William's daughter Sarah and her husband George Miller do not appear in the 1856 Marion, IA census (as do Nancy and Elijah Hurd and Margaret and Joseph Free). For this reason one might wonder if they returned to OH with William. However, they had one son already, and the 1860 Marion, IA census indicates they had another son born in IA in 1856. Therefore I beleive they likely remained in IA and did not return to OH with William. The move likely occurred between March (William purchased property from Alfred Rees in Dec 1855 the deed for which was not recorded until Mar 1856) and Oct 1856 (William's daughter Elizabeth and William Hyer were married 2 Nov 1856 in Ohio).
