Died at her home in Bunker Hill township, Nov. 5, 1885, Mrs. Lydia Peak, aged 72 years. Deceased was a woman of Christian integrity and had led a beautiful and influential live. She was an honorable pioneer, having moved to Bunker Hill with her husband over 40 years ago, and settled in a country of no improvements. Her husband died nine years ago, since which time she has lived with her children, two of whom, Mrs. J. W. Whallon and Mrs. George Archer, are still living and were with her at her death. Funeral services were held at Fitchburg Sunday at 11 o'clock a.m., where the remains were interred, the pastor of the U.B. church officiating.
