  A.J. Rolston Dies Suddenly at Kirksville Arthur James Rolston, 66 years old, a prominent business man of Kirksville, and brother of Allen Rolston, prosecuting attorney of Schuyler county, died suddenly shortly after 5 o'clock Sunday morning of a heart attack at his home in Kirksville. He had been in his usual health attending to his business and farm interests until the last day of his life, going to his large farm north of Kirksville several times a week. On Saturday evening after being at the farm a short time, he told his son, Howard, that he did not feel well and returned home. Sunday morning he went to the bathroom where he fell to the floor. Mrs. Rolston heard a noise and thinking he had knocked something over, made an investigation. A physician was summoned but he had passed away before the physician or his son, Howard, arrived. Mr. Rolston was born on a farm in Schuyler county, July 17, 1876, a son of Oliver P. and Leanna Rolston. He married Miss Ada Underwood, of Moulton, Iowa, on may 7, 1903, who survives him. He is also survived by his daughter, Mrs. Helene Howell, of Moberly, two sons, Edwin J. Rolston of the U.S. nave and now stationed at Lambert's field, St. Louis, and Howard E. Rolston, of near Kirksville. He has four grand children, Joanne and David Eugene Fisher and James and Anna Sue Rolston. also surviving are two brothers and three sisters, Attorney Allen and Albert Rolston, of Queen City, and Misses Edna Mae and Ida Rolston and Mrs. Alice Hunt, of Colorado. Mr. Rolston united with the Christian church at Queen City in 1908, and had been actively engaged in church work ever since. He had been a resident of Kirksville since 1924 and has been engaged in the law and farm loan business with his brother, Atty. Allen Rolston, at Queen City and this association was never completely dissolved. Since going to Kirksville he had been actively engaged in church affairs, the Boy Scout movement, and many civic affairs. He was especially active in movements looking towards the betterment of social and moral welfare conditions and recently started a movement for a recreational program for the youth of Kirksville. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Christian church conducted by the Rev. L. V. Freeman, assisted by the Rev. Perley Ling, of Queen City. Burial was in the Maple Hill cemetery. Music by the Mesdames Wagner, Ewing, Bohrer and Valentine. Pallbearers were a. P. Funk, J. W. Liedorff, R. O. Yowell, W. F. Lewis, John Curry and Walter Beard.
