  	She and Art had just returned from a road trip with Henry and Marie Hanson to the west coast where they visited Dora's family and Hadley's family in Auburn, CA, and Hildur's family in Seatle, WA. She and Art were still at Henry and Marie's place in Bigfork when she had a stroke. After a short time, Art left in his car to return home temporarily to Granby, MO when he was involved in an automobile accident on the River Road near Grand Rapids, MN. He was hospitalized and laid up for a few days, after which he took a bus home and returned to pick up Clara. He drove a differenct car and towed a trailer on which to transport the wrecked car back to MO.
