  Mrs. Abbie A. Aldrich, daughter of William A. and Margaret (Leece) Ford, was born April 10, 1864, at the Ford farm in Henrietta Township and departed this life on March 9th, 1940, at her home in Leslie, age 75 years and 11 months. Jan. 13, 1883 she was united in marriage to Adin Aldrich of Henrietta Township, and to this union was born three children, two sons, William of Mason and Frank of Leslie, and one daughter, Mrs. Madge Young of Mason. Since childhood, Mrs. Aldrich has been a faithful Christian, serving her Lord and Master wherever he called. Through the years her friendly kindly nature, her willingness to be of service,and her many acts of kindness had made her a host of friends. She was a friend to the friendless, and always a comfort and a help to those in trouble. She leaves to mourn their loss, the husband, her sons, and daughter, a sister, Mrs. Margaret Stowell of Lowell, a brother, Rolland T. Ford of Grand Rapids, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held at Leslie Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. Myers of the Free Methodist Church, of which she was a member, conducting the services, with burial in the Fitchburg Cemetery.
