  Perry Edward Aldrich was one of seven children born to Alfred and Melinda Aldrich and born in Henrietta, Jackson county, Mich., Nov. 24, 1856, and died at this home four miles north of Leslie, Aug. 28, 1910. He was united in marriage to Miss Emma Stevens April 2, 1876. Nine children cam to bless this union, six of who are living. They have lied for several years at Boyne City, until two years ago, and came south to care for his father who is very feeble. He was a kind and patient father and was loved by all who knew him. He leaves an aged father, stepmother, wife and six children to mourn his loss. The funeral was held at the Congregational church, Wednesday, Aug. 31, service conducted by Rev. Allen. Text, "I have fought a good fight. I have kept the faith." Floral tributes were numerous and beautiful. Interment at Fitchburg cemetery.
